Blue Spruce Construction was started in 1997, which means we have over 20 years of experience in the commercial construction and home remodeling world. One thing that makes us particularly unique in the world of construction is the fact that we are woman-owned and managed. This gives us a unique perspective on the construction world that many other companies don’t have.

Meet The Team
Sandra Weeks - President & Project Manager
Sandra has more than 40 years of experience in the construction industry, and has done everything from building custom cabinets to designing homes from the ground up to accurately estimating and completing multi-million-dollar projects. In 1997, she started Blue Spruce Construction Service as a general contracting firm built on the foundation of strong, loyal relationships and communication with clients that prides itself on achieving both a timely and successful execution of projects small and large.
Sandra’s hard work and dedication has earned Blue Spruce consistent recognition, including such lists as Top Women Owned Businesses in Colorado, a Top 25 Boulder County General Contractor, and one of the Top 250 Private Companies in the State of Colorado. Her true measure of success is the valuable relationships she creates with clients, employees, and her dependable subcontractors.
Sandra believes strongly in giving back to our community, and spends many hours contributing her talents to local non-profits. Her years of service have aided such organizations as Attention Homes (Board of Directors), The Bridge House, YWCA Boulder (former President), Colorado Green Building Guild (former President), Women Building Boulder and others.
Brad Weeks - Project Manager
Brad grew up in the construction industry and brings his extensive knowledge of all aspects of construction to each job. With more than a decade of experience in the field as both a Superintendent and Project Manager, he ensures that projects stay on schedule and are finished to the client’s satisfaction.
Brad achieves results through proactive collaboration with subcontractors, clients, architects, and others involved in the project. His positive, can-do attitude and general affability enables him to nurture a project from the early design stages all the way to the finishing touches.
Bobby Dazey - Superintendent
Bobby is a seasoned Superintendent in Commercial and Residential construction and has more than 40 years of experience in the construction field. After building houses in Hawaii for a decade, he brought his varied skills to Colorado where he has been successfully supervising projects in Boulder and Denver County.
Skilled at managing subcontractors with an ever-present eye to detail, Bobby is also known for creating trusting, close relationships with clients during the construction process. He ensures the projects are diligently completed to scope, resulting in the quality that clients expect.
Kelly Beard - Superintendent
Kelly has more than 40 years of experience in the construction field as a Superintendent in Commercial and Residential construction. One of his many assets is the ability to creatively manage schedules and budgets.
Kelly is intimately involved in all aspects of the construction process, from excavation to final walk-through to punch list completion. His ability to foresee issues on-site and his keen understanding of every aspect of the job allows him to consistently manage multi-million-dollar projects within the budget and on schedule.
Adam Parker - Superintendent
Adam brings a wealth of experience in all phases of construction; from pre-construction design and estimating to project scheduling, purchasing, and subcontracts to close out and warranty services. He has more than 25 years’ experience managing Residential projects of all sizes as well as multi-million dollar Commercial projects.
Adam’s knowledge of all legal and code requirements aids greatly in directing sub-contractors in the field. His calm demeanor and attention to details ensures complex schedules are met, and client expectations are exceeded.
Cathi Brents - Project Coordinator
Cathi’s background in managing subcontractors and coordinating with government officials enables her to excel at organizing all aspects of budget and time-sensitive projects.
Cathi’s experience as an elementary school teacher translates to being able to effectively assist the team and maintain order. Such day-to-day collaboration is vital to all aspects of a project, from the beginning of estimating new opportunities to finalizing subcontracts for our vendors and providing the final Operations and Management Manual (O&M).
Kris Taylor - Accounts Manager
Kris has more than 25 years of experience in leading business operations, including strategic development, marketing and public relations, human resources and accounting.
At Blue Spruce, she is able to combine all of her previous experience and wear numerous hats every day. In addition to handling all accounting functions, she is our HR guru and deals with all insurance requirements for the company. Her strengths in process development and multi-tasking have proven useful in the fast-paced, ever-changing environment of construction.
Heriberto Ortega - Assistant Site Foreman
Heriberto “Eddie” Ortega is ‘the guy’. Well versed in all phases of construction, Eddie can do practically anything on a job site.
Whether the job requires demo and concrete work or construction labor and carpentry skills, Eddie takes care of what needs to be done. His multitude of skills and willingness to tackle all aspects of a project make him a valuable contributor to the Blue Spruce team. In addition, his bilingual ability provides all parties consistent and clear communication on the job site.
Cesar - Blue Spruce Greeter
Blue Spruce’s latest addition is quickly becoming known as the hardest working dog in construction. Specializing in belly rubs, he takes his greeting duties very seriously…unless he is napping. He loves going to work each day and his smile is a constant reminder of how much all of us at Blue Spruce love our jobs.
